Moko bids farewell to Totemi. As promised, he gives her what he holds dearest, Mei Li’s stone and Alarick’s flute. She tells him that now these will be the things she will hold dearest and in turn gives him a present that he may only open when he arrives at his destination. Moko embarks and heads for the cape that so many sailors fear and nature unleashes its fury. Moko hangs on and one morning, he sees the coast of his land! He then understands that the end of the world is actually his country! When he gets to shore, he opens Totemi’s gift and finds not only her bracelet but also Mei-Li’s stone and Alarick’s flute and realizes that the greatest gift has been meeting his new friends.
